He is an ambitious and dynamic visionary. After completing his M.B.B.s (1973) and M.S. (General Surgery)(in 1980) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, he moved over to Delhi in 1980 to pursue Neuro-Surgery course at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He started his career in 1983, when he completed his super-specialization from Department of Neuro-Surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has since then practiced as a neurosurgeon excelling in his fields. His contribution to the field of medicine and to the society has been acknowledged a numerous times. In his over 30 years of practice as a neurosurgeon he has been awarded with numerous awards, to name a few with the PRIDE OF INDIA-GOLD Award in 1992, the INDIRA GANDHI PRIYADARSHINI award in the year 1992, the RAJIV GANDHI EXCELLENCE Award in 1991. His community service has also been recognized with such awards as Jain Gaurav Award in 1991, 1999, utkrast Samaj Sevi Award, Samaj Seva Pratibha Samman, and many others. He has delivered over 200 lectures, Chaired a number of Conferences, participated and attended over a dozen workshops and conferences. He is also a medical Director and Advisor with a number of Social Services providing NGO such as Mahavir International, Siddhomal Charitable Trust, Kund Kund Bharati Trust, Om Kothari Foundation and Trust. In the year 2002, he realized the scope and opportunity in the field of Radiology and Nuclear medicine. He got associated with a few centers in Delhi, and since then as they say, the rest was history and there was no turning back. He has been associated with a number of centers, both operational and startups, in and around New Delhi, which under his eminent guidance have been recognized as prominent diagnostic centers in this region, Dr. S. K. Sogani has pioneered the growth and established a benchmark in Radio Diagnostic in Delhi NCR region. He is hailed as a leader in this fast growing health care segment, and is one of a distinguished creed of first generation entrepreneurs, who through his vision and dedication carved a niche for himself in the domestic health care environment providing such services for all including the poor and needy. He was able to earn many laurels during his career as a Psychiatrist and mental health professional including being awarded the Ravi Pandey memorial award for the best young Psychiatrist by the Delhi Psychiatric Society. He possesses a never ending zeal and dedication towards healing the problems related to brain and mind. He has often been described as a calm, dedicated, and warm clinician by patients, peers and superiors working with him. He is always available ans accessible to his patients and their needs of care and support. His ability to listen and communicate clearly and efficiently has been commendable ans praise worthy. He is always respectful to the needs of patients and family members including their emotional distress and confidentiality. Most importantly he is genuinely interested in the well being and best interest of the patients and family members. He practices with a Bio-Psycho-social model which is the backbone or the gold standard of Mental health care in the twenty first century.
