Dr Virendra Bhatnagar

Brig. (Dr.) Virendra Bhatnagar is a plastic surgeon with over 44 years of experience in the field. An alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, he has been the Head of Department and Senior Consultant for Plastic Surgery in the Army’s top hospitals like Command Hospital Pune, Command Hospital Chandimandir, Command Hospital Lucknow, Command Hospital Udhampur and Command Hospital Kolkatta to name a few. A highly decorated officer with an impeccable service record, he has been instrumental in sanctioning and commissioning burn centres and departments in several army establishments and has rich experience of surgery in both war (Sri Lanka, Kargil) and peace. Dr. Bhatnagar has headed Columbia Asia Hospital for over seven years adding the corporate experience to an already rich army background. He has a reputation of patients following him across cities and countries specifically for his expertise. He has a passion for Cosmetic Surgery, Reconstructive surgery and Micro Surgery and has pioneered several procedures in the disciplines. He has been a Professor of Plastic Surgery at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and has trained several surgeons and plastic surgeons over the years.
