1. Dr. Uday Tamhankar graduated (BDS) from prestigious Govt. Dental College (Mumbai) and In 1980, He got gold medal, as he was topper in Anatomy in Mumbai University. (Nov 1980) He was interested in literature too. He many articles and short stories Printed then. 2. 1984 to 1994. Uday Tamhankar started 2 practices. One in Mumbai, Borivali. & other in Palghar For 10 years, he used to go to Palghar daily morning & return in evening to work till 11.30 to midnight in Borivali. In these 10 years, he conducted lot of free dental check-ups& treatment camps in backward areas in Palghar (wada, Jawhar, Mokhada, Saphala) Uday Tamhankar conducted lot of school camps, in Borivali area many schools used to regularly call him for this free camps (namely few…… St. Francis, St. Anne’s St. Xavier’s, J. B. Khot suvidyalaya). Uday Tamhankar conducted many “Dental Poster Exhibition: through this he advocated preventive dentistry. In these, 10 years, he upgraded this clinic continuously in terms of equipment & technology. 1995 Uday Tamhankar went to U.S.A. for upgrading his knowledge & to learn more in latest technology Uday Tamhankar did certificate course in New York University (N.Y.U.) in dental implants. He was keen to learn about this technology, as back in India, no one was doing implants then. Uday Tamhankar did certificate courses in Dallus (Texas) USA in Smile Design. Uday Tamhankar took some courses in Tufts University at Boston. Uday Tamhankar saw Dr. Charles Weise Clinic in U.S.A. & then with dream of making such a well-equipped multi chair clinic, in India, he comes back to India. 1996 To fulfill his dream, god sent Mr. Helmut Flasch (He had office in USA) to Mumbai to start his office Helmut Flasch, was by education Engineer, but he used to consult dentists in USA to make their practice better He guided & helped Dr. Tamhankar, to fulfill his dream & he changed clinic name to “Ceramco Dental Clinic” In Borivali, Ceramco Dental Clinic started growing from 1 dental chair practice to now 10 dental chair practice. 1998 Ceramco Dental Clinic opened a new clinic in Lokhandwala (Andheri (w) Mumbai). Within no time, it became most famous & popular clinic in Lokhandwala area. 1999 Uday Tamhankar started Dental Crowns, bridges, dentures manufacturing unit at Borivali. He always wanted to give good quality but current manufacturing labs were not able to give good work, in time. With only intention of giving excellent quality in minimum time, “Ceramco Dental Lab” was established. Now in this lab, they have 2 ceramic furnaces induction casting machine & many world class equipments. NRI (Non Residential Indians) are very keen to take treatment in “Ceramco Dental Clinic” as they know, they will get excellent (International standard) quality at unbelievably less cost, & they are sure, they won’t have problems in their dental work, when they are back to their own place. 1999 Uday Tamhankar received “ISO 9001” Quality assurance certificate from Rina (Italy). Ceramco Dental Clinic was 1st dental clinic in India to get that Certification. 7 2001 By 2001, Lokhandwala clinic was expanded in two floors. It became the biggest clinic in Andheri All dental Super specialists were helping Dr. Tamhankar to give quality treatment. 2004 to 2008 Uday Tamhankar diversified his interests & started a film company called “Tamhankar Production”. He produced a film – Kay Dyacha Bola & got best 2nd film award by Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This movie ran for 50 weeks….. Golden Jubilee at pune. Tamhankar Production made one more film “Dum Dum DigaDiga” it was again a huge hit movie. On same plot “Housefull2” was made in Hindi. Uday Tamhankar received “Best Dentist Award” in year 2007 from R K Excellent (Dharmendra Kumar). It was real proud moment for him. 8 2010 to 2014 Uday Tamhankar started dental chain in Mumbai. It was a first kind of chain in Mumbai & named as “New Ceramco Dental Clinic”. Under this he opened clinics from Virar, vasai to Manim, Wadala, including dombivli (East part) in central railway region. 9 2014 to 2015 Borivali clinic was upgraded by addition OPG machine…. It is full mouth x-ray. In one x-ray, patient can see his all teeth He added 3 U.V. Sterilizers to routine sterilizers& autoclaves. Lasers in dentistry – To do bloodless gum surgery, crown lengthening procedures & many other uses. Ceramco Dental Clinic runs from Morning 8am to 9pm all 13 Hours. Every Sunday morning we have a facility of pedodontist so that working parents can come along with child as it is this Sunday—“A Free Day”. Pedodontist is child specialist dentist. All Dental Consultants under one roof. Orthodontist who puts braces & makes crooked teeth in line to give great smile. Oral Surgeon … who does complicated wisdom teeth surgery & treats accidental cases.
