To become an orthopedic physical therapist, one must earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, pass a state licensure exam, and complete a clinical residency or specialized certification program. Swollen Ankles and Feet

Swelling in the ankles and feet can signal various health issues. Pregnancy may cause normal swelling, but sudden, excessive swelling could indicate preeclampsia.
