Dr. Nitish Bhan, is a certified orthopaedic surgeon with advanced training in the comprehensive treatment of hip and knee arthritis, including joint preservation techniques, minimally invasive partial and total joint replacement, anterior hip replacement and complex revision total joint replacement. He also utilizes the latest technologies in blood conservation and pain management to accelerate postoperative rehabilitation. Dr Bhan has pioneered direct anterior hip replacement in the Telangana area without the use of navigation and the specialized han table. Dr Bhan attained his undergraduate degree from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical. A native of uptown Srinagar, Dr Bhan travelled from far north of India to far south to pursue his orthopaedic surgery training at Kamineni Institute Of Medical Sciences. During that time he developed the interest in complex joint replacements, sports injuries and trauma. Dr Bhan worked with the pioneers of arthroscopy and ACL reconstruction at Hyderabad completed his M.ch Ortho training at American Institute Of Medicine Seychelles for further honing his surgical skills. He also served as assistant professor at Mediciti Medical Ccollege, Deccan Medical College and Malla Reddy Institute Of Medical Sciences. He has participated in numerous workshops and received extensive training in primary and revision total joint replacement techniques. Dr Bhan in pursuit of excellence took cadaveric workshop training for the primary and revision joint replacements. Exclusive to Dr Bhan is his ability to perform minimally invasive anterior hip replacement which is the latest development in joint replacement and need not mention that he is the only one and the first in the twin state of Telangana and Andhra to pioneer and perform direct anterior approach hip replacements. Dr Bhan is a member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association. He has the great interest in continuing medical education and the advancement of orthopaedic technologies. He currently serves a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with the prestigious continental hospitals and helps train other orthopaedic surgeons on minimally invasive surgical techniques.
