Dr. Gopalsamy Santhanam Prabudoss MS.,Mch (Surgical Gastreoenterology), FIAGES, FMAS, Diplome Universite De Chirurgie Laparoscopique (France), Fellowship on robotic surgery (New Delhi). Dip in hospital management. He is a Surgical Gastroenterlologist by specialization, his focus has been on advanced laparoscopy & bariatric surgery. He has 16 years of surgical experience. He passed out with a “ Gold Medal “ in M.Ch in the year 2013. He is a senoir Consultant , Institute of Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery, Gleneagles Global Health City, Perumbakkam, Chennai. He has presented various scientific papers in many national & international conferences and has been involved in research work for the last several years. He has won several awards for various presentation at medical meets which includes travel scholar award 2007” at the ‘international surgical week 2007, best oral poster, IASG Lucknow, 2006, best paper presentation award in SRMC, silver medal award, the academy of medical sciences, Annamalai University – 2003, travel bursary award 2007 XVII National conference in New Delhi. He was selected as one of the student representatives as an M.B.B.S student to interact with his excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam during the platinum jubilee celebrations of Annamalai University, 2004. He continues to participate regularly in public awareness TV, radio programs till date. Presently an associate professor, department of surgical gastroenterology, Sree Balaji Medical College, Chennai with a passion for teaching young surgeons, he is a National faculty in world Laparoscopy Hospital (robotic surgery division) & MISTI - Minimally Invasive Surgical Training Institute, Chennai. He is the founder president of “GS” educational & charitable trust, Chennai, which conducts and participates in various free health camps organized for the school children, senior citizens and rural folks in villages in Chidambaram, Villupuram, Coimbatore & Chennai in the last 10 years
