Dr Barve-Venkat did her MBBS and MS General surgery from Seth GS Medical College, KEM hospital, Mumbai and MCh Plastic surgery from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. Following that, she also worked as an Assistant professor at Christian Medical College, Vellore. Dr Barve-Venkat has trained in Aesthetic surgery in USA for 3 years. She was awarded the Prestigious International Fellowship of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), which is offered globally to only 2 international plastic surgeons every year. She has worked for over 2 and half years as a fellow with Dr Onelio Garcia Jr in Miami, a very well respected expert in the field who specializes in VASER ultrasound liposuction, Breast augmentation, Reduction, Breast Lifts, Body contouring and Breast reconstruction using expander-implants and flaps. She has experience in an extremely wide range of aesthetic procedures such as Face-neck lifts, Blepharoplasty, Rhinoplasty, Aesthetic breast surgery, Abdominoplasty, Liposuction and Post bariatric surgery - Body contouring. She has worked extensively in non-surgical facial rejuvenation using Botox and fillers. She also specializes in post mastectomy Breast Reconstruction using flaps or expander/implants.
