Dr Ashish Ahuja

Dr. Ashish Ahuja is a Senior Consultant Laproscopic Bariatric Surgeon and Associate Professor in Department of Surgery, Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana. First Surgeon to start Laproscopic Bariatric Surgery in his hospital which is one of the most premier institutes of Northern India. Dr. Ahuja after completing his Masters of Surgery, did an advanced Fellowship and training in Bariatric Surgery from John Flynn Hospital, Tugan, Queensland, Australia and also attended different training programs world over in Minimal access, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. He has performed close to 2000 minimal access procedures including bariatric and metabolic surgeries. Dr. Ahuja has organised many live operative workshops and training programs in bariatric surgery in his institute. Many surgeons of international and national repute like Dr. Laurent Layani a renouned Australian Bariatric Surgeon, Dr. Robert Rutledge father of mini gastric bypass from U.S.A, Dr. Shashank Shah from Lapro-obese centre, Pune, have visited and conducted training programs along with Dr. Ahuja. He has also been invited as a guest faculty at various National and International forums and has 20-30 national and international publications in different surgical journals.
