He has undergone Fellowship in Endoscopic sinus surgery at Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. Prior to this, he was the ENT registrar at Karnataka Institute Of Medical Sciences, Hubli. Dr. Jyotirmay S. Hegde has an experience of over 12 years with accomplishments including developing and managing the ENT department. He is the Consultant ENT Surgeon with special interest in Endoscopic sinus & skullbase surgery at Columbia Asia Hospital, Whitefield. He is very skilled to perform Skull base surgeries, many of which are done by endoscopic technique. Cochlear implants and BAHA surgeries for patients who have congenital or acquired hearing loss are also performed with adept. He has experience in Endoscopic sinus surgeries for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps, FESS (Functional endoscopic sinus surgery) and Rhinoplasty for correction and restructuring, restoring functions and aesthetically enhancing the nose. He provides care for skull base tumours, microtia repairs and laryngo tracheal stenosis and is also involved in the diagnosis & treatment of snoring and sleep apnoea syndrome. He has more than nine years of of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has worked as an Associate professor at JIPMER which is one of the premier medical institutes in the world. He has an outstanding academic career and is the recipient of various awards like Cipla scholarship award, Dr P.N.Berry international visiting scholarship, Dr A. Mahadeviah award for the best paper presentation & Dr Jaiswal Gold medal for the best video presentation at National conference. He is also recipient of travelling fellowships as International visiting scholar to various countries like the UK, USA, Italy & Germany. He has also a co-author for CD lecture demonstration on balloon sinoplasty. He has published in many peer reviewed national & international journals.
