Dr. Pinky Devi Ayyappan says "Plastic surgery has always amused me. It empowers the surgeon to create and bring to life one's perception of themselves. The intent of honing my skills and delivering the best took me around the world to be trained with the best of institutions. Here's a bird's eye view of my learning. After completing my Mch in plastic surgery from BMCRI, where getting a seat in itself is an achievement, I traveled to Seoul to learn facial cosmetic surgery, ear reconstruction, double eyelid surgery. I came back to India and worked under a senior plastic surgeon for a year and then my quest for perfection took me to Italy where I refined my skills in facelifts. I got selected for highly competitive and sort after DAFPRS fellowship in cosmetic surgery which took me to the doors of pioneers of MACS Belgium I stayed for 3 months during which I was exposed to the entire range of cosmetic surgery, it was like a bonanza for a thirsty soul. Satisfied I came back to my country to offer the services to my people."
