Dr. Manish Joshi completed his MBBS from Gulbarga University. He obtained his Masters degree in General Surgery from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College. He works as Lead Consultant & Head, Dept of Surgical Gastroenterology, HPB Surgery & Centre for Advanced Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery at BGS Global Hospitals, Bangalore. He had earlier served as Head of Surgical Gastroenterology services at St. John's Medical College Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. Manish Joshi currently leads a team of dedicated Surgeons in the Global Institute of Gastrosciences providing comprehensive & advanced surgical care for patients with digestive diseases including cancer. Being in the surgical field for many years now, Dr. Manish Joshi has worked under eminent names like Dr. Ramesh Ardhanari, Dr. Adarsh Chaudhary and Dr. Pradeep Chowbey. He has also been trained in the UK for Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Procedures which benefit the patients. He is specialized in various areas, to name a few, Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancers, Colon & rectal Cancers, Gastric Cancers, Pancreatic Cancers, Liver Cancers, Esophageal cancers, Gallbladder cancers, and bile duct cancers. Dr. Manish has presented many papers and presentations which have been published in prominent journals. His article on 'Single Incision Laparoscopic Splenectomy' was published in a very reputed journal. His contributions to the medical industry have been well recognized and rewarded. He was also awarded the coveted 'International Travelling Fellowship' by the Association of Colorectal Society of India. He has been selected for the 'Travel Bursary' Award, an award instituted by the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterologist.
