Hello Madam, Severe knee pain with difficulty in moving the leg may be due to advanced osteoarthritis, acute inflammation, ligament injury, or internal joint pathology. If pain is unbearable and she is unable to bear weight, it is advisable to consult an orthopedic doctor immediately to rule out fracture, severe arthritis flare, or joint infection. After medical evaluation, physiotherapy plays a major role in reducing pain, improving mobility, and strengthening the joint. You may book an online consultation for detailed guidance regarding exercises, precautions, and further management. Kindly do not delay evaluation if swelling, redness, or fever is present.
