Dr Mohan Koppikarle

Dr. Mohan Koppikarle Graduate (1974) and Post Graduate (1978) of Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hosiptal, Mumbai and worked later on teaching post of Lecturer and Reader for 4 years. Had brief training in GI Onco Surgery at TATA Memorial Hospital Mumbai. After obtaining FRCS (Edin), worked in England under leading GI and Laparoscopic surgeons upto 1994. During his stay in the UK presented papers on Laparoscopic Exploration of Common Bile Duct. Returned to India in 1994 and has been in private practice with concentration on GI and MIINMAL ACCESS SURGERY and has performed nearly 4000 Minimal Access Procedures which include basic and many advanced. Was associated with Somaiya Medical College in teaching Minimal ACCESS and has been associated with Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education(EISE) and Centre for Minimal Access Surgery for Training (C-MAST). Has trained many post graduates in Minimal AccessSurgery. He has been responsible for setting up Minimal ACCESS Surgery Dept at Fortis Hospital Mulund in 2003 which is the most successful model in thet city of Mumbai
