Prasanna Kakunje has completed his MD in Ayurveda from a century old Government Ayurveda Medical College, Mysore, India in 2005. His specialty is Ayurveda general medicine called as ‘Kaaya Chikitsa’. Since then he has been practicing, teaching and propagating Ayurveda as consultant, lecturer and administrator in various clinics, wellness resorts, Ayurveda centers and Ayurveda medical colleges such as Indus Valley Ayurvedic Center, Mysore; Bapuji Ayurvedic Medical College, Shivamogga; ALN Rao Memorial Ayurvedic Medical College, Koppa; Taj group of Hotels, India and Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. He has been a visiting consultant at Amrtasiddhi Ayurvedic Center, Bali, Indonesia since 2014. He is on the board of honorary advisors for Fitness and Holistic Wellbeing of the Confederation of International Accreditation Commission-Global (CIAC). Dr Prasanna is a firm believer of Ayurveda, yet supports an integrated approach based on the best possible solution to a health problem. In addition he is running a homely Ayurveda treatment center named Kakunje Ayurveda Wellness Home at Moodbidri, Mangalore, India. Dr Prasanna is married to Dr Anuradha Prasanna who is an MD in Ayurveda as well. She is the chief consultant at their Kakunje Ayurveda Wellness Home and teaches in an Ayurveda Medical college too.
