Dr Ashok Damir is an expert in Podiatry, he is currently working as the Head of Diabetic Foot & Wound Care Management in Fortis Super Specialty Hospital. He has an extensive experience of 25 years in managing many critical diabetic cases. He has worked with several reputed hospitals in India and abroad. Dr Damir has completed his MBBS as well as MD from the University of Rajasthan. Dr Ashok Damir has got training in Diabetes & Foot Medicine at Dr William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Chicago, USA. His areas of specialization include Advanced Diabetic Wound Management, Pressure Offloading Techniques and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), Stem cell 2008, he worked as a foot specialist with famous Dr Arun Bal, Chief Foot Surgeon of All India Institute of Diabetes, SL Raheja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai & Founder President of Diabetic Foot Society of India.Dr. Ashok Damir has been nominated by WDF (World Diabetic Foundation) and DFSI (Diabetic Foot Society of India) as Regional Co-ordinator of the National Wound Care Project under which he will be teaching Diabetes, Diabetic Foot & Wound Care to Post Graduate Doctors of different Medical Colleges of India. Dr Damir is very passionate about the subject of prevention of amputation of the lower addition to organizing CMEs and workshops, he contributes articles to leading publications and has also authored the book 'Madhumeh - Kaise Jiyen Masti Se'which is a brief overview of Diabetes for educating diabetic patients & Primary care physicians.
