I am a dentist, specialised in Orthodontics & dentofacial orthopaedics, Public Health, Biostatistics & Bioinformatics, Endodontics & Aesthetic dentistry with a doctorate in a study of the effect of diet & related factors on dental caries. I am associated with various private dental clinics as a specialist consultant, have been involved in teaching undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and research students, published several scientific papers in international peer reviewed ISI indexed journals, as an opinion maker in prevention of oral diseases & a speaker on the best oral health care practices and other related fields for the last fifteen years. I practice evidence based dentistry, with high standards of care & provide customised treatments focusing on minimal intervention dentistry. Moreover, I am one of the very few practitioners of orthodontics practising, customised orthodontics, with each of the components used (bracket, arch-wire, band, etc) designed for the particular tooth of the patient. I use cutting edge technology like CAD/CAM, paperless office, & EU & international norms of dental practice. I am the only Indian dentist professionally associated with three of the most advanced & highly rated organizations in the world of orthodontics - as a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontics, & as a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the European Orthodontic society. I have a doctorate degree & probably the only dentist in India with both doctorate degree and masters degrees recognised in the European Union. Streamlining research flow, managing multi-author studies, publishing scientific papers is my forte. My doctorate research is unique, as diet has been revisited after more than half a century and viewed from a qualitative and quantitative angle, studied alongside non-medical determinants of dental caries and probably the only doctoral research in the field of cariology which has used structural equation modelling (SEM).
