Dr Shiva S Kupanur

Dr. Shivakumar is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and currently heads the Dept. of Neurosurgery at Sparsh Super Specialty Hospital, Bangalore. He graduated from Mysore University, after which he was further crowned with DNB in Neurosurgery after his extensive training at Manipal Institute for Neurological Disorder (MIND), Bangalore. Dr. Shivakumar has also undergone special training for vascular surgery and complex spine surgery. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Neurosurgery and has performed more than 3000 complex neurosurgeries and spinal surgeries. His special interest lies in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. Dr. Shivakumar has also performed awake craniotomy surgeries for eloquent lesions, one of the most challenging surgeries in his field of specialization. Apart from his clinical practice, Dr. Shivakumar also has a strong academic and research interest in the field of neurosurgery and has presented and published many papers in different conferences, CMEs, and journals.
