Dr. Gautham M is a Consultant - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sparsh Hospital, Bangalore. After his undergraduate training (MBBS) at JSS Medical College, Mysore, Dr. Gautham completed his post-graduation in general surgery from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum. Additionally, he obtained the MCh (Plastic surgery) qualification from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. He did a fellowship in Reconstructive microsurgery from the Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. Before joining SPARSH Hospitals Dr. Gautham has worked extensively in the Department of Plastic surgery at Bangalore Medical College and MS Ramaiah Medical College and has got hands-on experience in handling post-cancer reconstruction surgery and micro(vascular) surgery services for trauma. He is also an expert in dealing with emergency cases in Plastic Surgery like Acute burns, hand and limb trauma including vascular injury, maxillofacial trauma and acute wound infections. He is also trained in performing routine surgeries for acute burns and burn reconstruction, hand injuries and reconstruction, limb trauma, maxillofacial trauma, head and neck reconstruction, breast reconstruction, congenital deformities like cleft lip and palate, syndactyly, polydactyly and aesthetic surgical procedures such as rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation and reduction. Dr. Gautham maintains a keen academic interest with scientific publications and is a regular speaker at national and international Plastic Surgery conferences. Dr. Gautham is an active member of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI).
