Thereafter, he joined Safdarjung hospital New Delhi as Senior Registrar where he spent 3 years and horned his skills in basic orthopaedic procedures traumas and Illizarov surgeries. After the completion of senior registrarship he joined Clinical Fellow Duchess of Kent Children Hospital, Hong Kong, where he was trained in paediatric orthopaedics. He has also been a clinical fellow at Korean University Medical Sciences, Guro Hospital, South Korea. Dr Sumit has drawn scores of patients not only from within the country but also from countries like Middle East, Iraq, Saudi, CIS countries, Afghanistan, Yemen and Maldives, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Europe USA and Canada.
