Dr Prathama Chaudhuri

Dr. Prathama Chaudhuri is a distinguished Psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry in Kolkata, practicing since 1997. She completed her MBBS with Honours from Calcutta Medical College in 1992. She completed her post-graduation from Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) in Ranchi, the premier mental health institution in eastern India. She was awarded the MD (Psychiatry) degree by CIP in 1997. Dr. Chaudhuri acquired the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) title in Psychiatry from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, in 1998. She also completed a WHO Fellowship in Sydney, Australia. She received a brief training from the UK College of Hypnotherapy, London as well. Some other courses done by Dr Chaudhuri are - Psychological First Aid (counselling during crisis) at Johns Hopkins University Educational Counselling of Children & Adolescents (Griffith University, Queensland, Australia) Workplace Stress Management (Coventry University, UK) Dr. Prathama Chaudhuri is attached to several hospitals in Kolkata, including Fortis Hospitals and AMRI Hospitals. She is also available for consultation at NG Medicare (Gariahat), Peerless Hospital City Diagnostic Centre (Girish Park), and Suraksha Polyclinic (Phoolbagan). Dr. Prathama Chaudhuri serves as Professor of Psychiatry at Calcutta Medical College. She is a Visiting Faculty at Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. She is a regular speaker at national and international psychiatry conferences and events in India and overseas. Dr. Chaudhuri’s special interest area is cognitive behavior psychotherapy.
