Dr Amit Pawar

Dr. Amit Pawar is working as a consultant in a Corporate Hospital in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He is efficient in performing Phaco Surgeries ( toric and multifocal iol) and mics under topical Anaesthesia. Has performed over 500 Phaco Surgeries independently, most being under topical Anaesthesia. Also performs Pterygium Surgeries. During his residency he has learnt to perform all routine surgeries independently and have, assisted a large number of major surgeries. At present he has experience of almost 6 years in the specialty. Our department had a strong academic inclination with regular classes, seminars, journal club and operative work for the post graduates. He is interested in teaching and have developed teaching modules for undergraduate students during his residency. The ophthalmogy department of Lions Nab, Miraj from where he did his DNB has a dedicated eye bank since last 15 years and a developing Vitreo Retinal Unit, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Squint Unit and Oculoplasty unit which gave me a good exposure to both anterior and posterior segment cases.
