Dr Purnima Nagaraja

Dr. Purnima Nagaraja's passion with psychological illness and cure started with watching her psychiatrist parents Dr. A. Nagaraja and Dr. Mrs. Jaya Nagaraja as a child. Armed with a medical degree, a diplomate in psychiatry and a masters degree in counselling and psychotherapy Dr. Purnima has trained in England and brings with her an international perspective of addressing psychological ailments. Being multi lingual and well versed in several cultural and sociological factors, Dr. Purnima combines conventional therapies such as drug therapies with unique counselling and psychotherapeutic techniques. In a country like India where several taboos exist while dealing with psychological illness, Dr. Purnima has conducted several awareness drives to familiarize the lay person with common psychiatric and psychological ailments. She is currently involved with several media houses in busting common myths and encourages people to come forward and deal with psychological ailments as they would any other. With an ongoing passion to provide excellence in psychological support systems, Dr. Purnima founded Dhrithi, an institute that focuses primarily on the individuals and various issues that confront them. From Monday to Friday in the Mornings only OPD's and in the evening only counselling and on Saturdays only counselling .Please book appointment accordingly.
