About Dr Nishanth Vemana

Having always been interested in the inner workings of the mind, the science behind emotional disorders and having seen how psychological problems affect families, I decided to take up Psychiatry after finishing my MBBS. I have learnt about most of the psychiatric disorders, the stigma associated with them and the crippling effect it has on individuals and families. I have worked with people who suffer from substance addiction ,chronic mentally ill(schizophrenia,bipolar disorder) in a rehabilitation center and also people who suffer from common mental disorders like depression,anxiety,ocd. My experience has led me to conclude that 'There is no health without mental health'. I hope to achieve psychological well being for my clients and help them lead a fulfilling life.
