Dr. Rishikant Ojha is trained at St. Stephen's Hospital, and former head Paediatrics and Neonatology of Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula-Chandigarh, he had been running his private practice for nearly 5 years in Panchkula, and has started Indirapuram's only children's hospital. He is a gold medallist in his graduation and has authored more than a dozen research publications in international journals like pediatrics, archives of diseases in childhood, BMJ during his specialization. His key area of work has been neonatal intensive care/ critical care. His key achievements in his practice have been building a relationship of 24x7 support with families of sick children, taking away fear and sensationalizing of illnesses. An ardent follower of AAA initiative of IAP to Avoid Antibiotic Abuse. Organizing cost-effective pediatric care, and cost awareness of every intervention is his principle. A member of International Lactation Consultants association (ILCA), he wholeheartedly supports breastfeeding promotion and trains new moms in breastfeeding, and moms with lactation and breastfeeding problems. Trained in Pediatric Nutrition with a PGPN degree from Boston University, his counselling on starting Complementary feeding, preparing baby food, detailed feeding behavior analysis, food refusal interventions, sustaining feeding by infants, food supplements and treatment of poor growth are his labour of love.
