Dr Rajeev Gupta

Dr. Rajeev Gupta did his MBBS from prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College of Delhi in 1994 and then completed the internship in December 1995. He did his M.S.(Ophthalmology) also from prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College and associated Guru Nanak Eye Centre which was completed in 1999. After his post-graduation, he joined Icare Charitable Eye Hospital at Noida. Over there he was part of the team of doctors involved in giving training of phacoemulsification (the most advanced technique of cataract surgery) to fellow doctors. He was also in charge of glaucoma services over there. One more thing which he has been doing religiously for 18 years is refraction (checking of a power of glasses). Though accurate refraction does take a lot of time & effort of the doctor and is much lesser rewarding he has been putting same effort and sincerity for these 18 years because of his firm belief that it helps the large percentage of patients. He is one of the very highly experienced phaco (Stitchless Cataract Surgery) surgeon having experience of over 25000 phaco surgeries. Cataract surgery has been his passion since his post graduation days. His success rate is on par with international standards. Many doctors especially eye surgeons and anesthetists who have witnessed his surgeries got cataract surgery of their family members done by him.
