Dr.(Mrs.) Mona Choudhary,an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist & Psychotherapist based in New Delhi obtained her training from Highly esteemed- Centre of Excellence in Mental Health, PGIMER, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. She completed 10th from her hometown Bhagalpur and +2 from D.P.S. R.K.Puram,New Delhi. A meritorious student throughout she was awarded Scholarship of Merit for her performance in Biology. She has recently started a blog " www.parentingmantra.com" so that we can raise responsible & resilient children which in turn will bring down the rates of depression,anxiety etc. After MD she worked for 3 more years as Senior Resident in the same institute polishing her Clinical & Research skills.Her research work has been published in various national and international journals. She has also presented her work in International Conferences(11th WFSBP; Kyoto,Japan).She is an active member of organizations related to Neuropsychiatry. She assessed and treated the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders there but her focus was on Child Psychiatry and effect of Behaviour therapy in them as she believes in Raising Aware Children who add to society. She assesses and treats Clients for mental health issues from all over India with the goal of making them more resilient and preventing relapses. She believes it can be achieved through dialogue towards solutions that are feasible including the need for medications. To ably guide her clients she took certificate courses in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Positive Psychology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP She has a regular meditation practice and has conducted workshops on the subject( 2nd International Conference of Health Psychology). She has been in Media for spreading awareness about mental health issues. She also answers questions on Quora as and when she can. She has been part of the team conducting Stress Management Workshop for college students. She has addressed schools on various topics like Preparing for Boards, Parenting Guidelines in New age in my hometown, Role Of Diet in Mental Health at Kendriya Vidyalaya and Rehabilitation school. She continues to contribute effectively through her child. Healing is a passion with her and she loves knowing about different modalities be it Yoga, Diet, Accupressure, Vibrational/Energy healing, Affirmations/Power of Thoughts. The ultimate goal of all psychiatrists is that client leads a fully functional life without medications which can only be made possible by compliance of clients to the advise received.
