Dr P S Rajan

Dr. P. S. Rajan has completed medicine and masters in surgery at Coimbatore Medical College. He was awarded the prestigious American Fellowships FACS and FICS and has undergone three years of super-speciality course in surgical Gastroenterology. He has been actively involved in training courses in laparoscopic surgeries for more than 10 years and has trained hundreds of surgeons across the country. He owns 23 years experience of heading the department of advanced laparoscopic surgeries and therapeutic endoscopies. His special interest is in laparoscopic hernia repair and has done many complicated inguinal hernias and incisional hernias repair by laparoscopy. Has demonstrated live hernia repairs at various national conferences. Has been as an instructor for many training courses for both basic and advanced laparoscopic surgeries. Apart from laparoscopy, he is an expert in advanced therapeutic endoscopy like ERCP for common bile duct stones, endoscopic palliative metal stenting for the liver. He has vast experience in performing almost all abdominal procedures by laparoscopy such as Appendicectomy, Lap Cholecystectomy, Heller's Myotomy, Fundoplication, Malignancies of the stomach, small and large bowel and Pancreatic Surgeries, Bariatric Surgeries for Obesity. He is the first surgeon in the world to perform transvaginal endoscopic appendicectomy and first to Perform transvaginal endoscopic gall bladder in Asia.
