Dr Vijailakshmi Acharya

Dr. Vijailakshmi Acharya obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Bombay University. She has a Master’s degree from Madras University in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. She is a fellow of the International College of Dentists and member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. She is a member of the Indian Dental Association, American Dental Association, International Dental Federation and Indian Society of Oral Implantology. She has trained extensively in Implantology, which she has been practicing for more than two decades now. Her specialized area of interest is in cosmetic dentistry for which she has undergone training both nationally and internationally. She is committed to educating the public on dental awareness and has addressed several organizations to spread the message. She has written several articles both for the public and the profession. She has given several talks on dental practice management, marketing esthetic dentistry, current trends in dentistry and laser dentistry and has spoken on Infection control in the International AIDS Congress.  She runs a Multispecialty clinic in Chennai in south India, which has a state of the art dental laboratory attached. Several continuing education courses are conducted at this clinic to give dentistry the right perspective both for the patient and the profession.
