Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, a versatile personality is well known to everyone in Homoeopathic fraternity for his academic, clinical and social interests. He is the president, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council , a statutory body constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu and also the editor of reputed Journal Homoeo times He is Senate Member, The Dr.M.G.R Medical University, He is elected member for central council of Homoeopathy. He served the state and central Government with various positions He served as Governing body Member , Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Under Ministry of AYUSH New Delhi for two times. He served as Member Drug Technical Advisory Board for Homoeopathy, Ministry of Health and Family welfare ,Department of AYUSH, Government of India. Former Nodal officer, State campaign on Homoeopathy for Mother and Child care, Directorate of Indian Medicine and homoeopathy,Govt of Tamil Nadu . and former Member, State Task force, State campaign on Homoeopathy for Mother and Child care,DIM&H, Govt of Tamil Nadu. He served as former Secretary, State Resource Center, State campaign on Homoeopathy for Mother and Child care, DIM&H,Govt of Tamil Nadu He had his basic medical studies at Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Chennai and post graduation at DKMM Homoeopathy Medical College, Aurangabad. He is a visiting professor to various undergraduate and postgraduate colleges in India. He had presented many papers in national and international conference He was the Co-founder of Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic Association, served as General secretary for the betterment of Homoeopathic system and declared its patron. He hosted many seminars ”Derma 97”, Homoeonet 99” and “Nephro 2000” with great gatherings. He served as managing editor for Homoeo Pulse Journal. He had authoured six books in regional language and one book in English He had conducted many free medical camps and public awareness programs on Homoeopathy in association with social welfare organizations
