Q Cold
AHello! Your symptoms—mild runny nose, frequent sneezing and slight throat irritation without fever or body ache—can commonly occur with a mild viral cold or allergy. For now, stay well hydrated, take adequate rest, try warm fluids and warm salt-water gargles, and avoid dust, smoke and other possible triggers. Saline nasal drops/spray may also provide relief. If your symptoms persist, worsen, or you develop fever, breathing difficulty, chest pain or severe throat pain, please seek medical evaluation. If you need further guidance or your symptoms are not improving, you can book an online consultation with me so I can assess your symptoms properly and guide you accordingly.
AHello! Your symptoms of nasal/forehead congestion, throat irritation and symptoms worsening with cold water or AC exposure may be related to a mild cold or nasal irritation. For now, stay hydrated, take adequate rest, prefer warm fluids, and try warm salt-water gargles and saline nasal spray/drops. Avoid direct exposure to cold air, dust and smoke. If your symptoms persist or worsen, or you develop fever, breathing difficulty, chest pain, severe headache/facial pain, please consult a doctor for proper evaluation. If you would like personalised advice or need medication guidance, you can book an online consultation with me. I’ll assess your symptoms and guide you accordingly.
AOccasional acidity or heartburn can happen after spicy, oily, or heavy meals. Try having smaller meals, avoiding lying down immediately after eating, and limiting foods that trigger your symptoms. If acidity occurs frequently (several times a week), persists despite lifestyle changes, or is associated with difficulty swallowing, vomiting, unexplained weight loss, or severe chest pain, you should consult a doctor for proper evaluation. If you need personalised advice or guidance regarding medication, you can book an online consultation with me. I’ll assess your symptoms and guide you accordingly.
ASince you are pregnant and the itching is severe, please do not self-medicate, especially with oral antifungal medicines. You should be examined by a gynecologist to confirm whether this is candidiasis or another vaginal/skin infection. If candidiasis is confirmed, topical azole treatment for 7 days is the recommended approach during pregnancy; oral fluconazole should be avoided in pregnancy.
