Dr Sendhil Rajan

Dr. Sendhil Rajan, MS, MCh is a specialist in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pancreas, and breast disorders and is the only doctor in Bangalore possessing an MCh degree in Endocrine Surgery. Special services include minimally invasive surgery for diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands (including scarless neck surgery/trans-axillary thyroidectomy and retroperitonoscopic adrenalectomy), robotic surgery of the thyroid gland, contemporary management of thyroid cancer, oncoplastic procedures for breast cancer and modern treatment of benign breast diseases, management of rare endocrine tumors such as medullary thyroid cancer, pheochromocytoma, adrenocortical cancer, MEN syndromes, etc. Dr. Rajan is currently the assistant professor of surgery and consultant endocrine & breast surgeon in the department of surgery at St. Johns Medical College, Bengaluru, India. After graduating MBBS from St. Johns Medical College, Bengaluru, he was trained in General Surgery at Stanley Medical College, Chennai. He then received training in Endocrine & Breast Surgery at the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) Lucknow and was awarded the degree of M.Ch (Endocrine Surgery). He has had additional training at Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul, Korea and Christian Medical College (CMC), addition, he is a keen researcher and has published many scientific papers in International peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and has been awarded many grants and prizes for the same. He is a member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Association of Breast Surgeons of India (ABSI), and the Indian Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES).
