Dr Monika Pansari

Dr. Monika Pansari is one of the few registered female surgical oncologist in our country with a special interest in breast and gynaecological oncology. Her utmost priority being a female onco-surgeon is to help other women fight cancer. She is specialist in the management of all breast and gyanaec cancer surgeries. She completed MBBS and MS (general surgery) from prestigious, Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior. She had excellent academic record throughout and was awarded university gold medal. Following that she pursued her career in Bangalore and served as assistant the department of general surgery in St. Johns medical college for almost 4 years. During this tenure, she underwent training in minimal access surgery and was awarded FIAGES for the same. Subsequently, she pursued DNB in Surgical Oncology from Manipal Hospitals. She has in total of more than a decade of experience in general surgery and in the field of surgical oncology for more than half a decade. She performs not only simple general surgical and laparoscopic procedures but all advanced surgeries like • Breast conservation surgeries, Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB), ROLL, Reverse axillary mapping/scintigraphy, Breast reconstruction after mastectomy in collaboration with her plastic surgical team etc. • She has been trained to handle complicated, advanced malignancies of an ovary, uterus/endometrium, colon etc. • She has received special training in performing major cytoreduction surgeries and HIPEC for peritoneal surface malignancies.
