Dr. Anilkumar P. L is an Experienced Pediatric Surgeon. He has done his Graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and Ms. General Surgery from Mahadevappa Ramappa Medical College, Gulbarga. He completed his superspeciality Training in Pediatric Surgery from Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore, Which is a tertiary care centre for Paediatrics. After his successful training as Pediatric Surgeon, he joined Manipal Hospital, Bangalore as a Consultant from July 2010. He has performed more than 1000 various common surgical cases as well as complex reconstructive cases like Feminising Genitoplasty, Bladder Augmentation, and Mitrofanoff Procedure. He was a part of the team where he has done a significant number of Pediatric urology cases like Pyeloplasty, Ureteric Reimplantation, Nephrectomies, Neonatal Surgeries Like Intestinal Resection, Tracheoesophageal Fistula Repair, Diaphragmatic Hernia Repair, Thoracoscopic Surgery Mainly Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery for Empyema Thorax. He has also performed major surgeries like Thoracotomy – Decortications, Lobectomy for CLE/CCAM, Duhamel’s pull through the Procedure, Psarp, Hypospadias Repair, Pyelolithotomy, Kasai Procedure, Choledochal Cyst Excision and Hepatico-jejunal Anastomosis which is challenging Paediatric Surgery cases in good numbers. He is trained in Pediatric Laparoscopy. He has actively participated in organizing Workshops – basic Laparoscopic Training Courses for Pediatric Surgeons, Advanced Laparoscopic Programs, International Workshops on Laparoscopy and Thoracoscopy, Hypospadias Workshop, Workshop on Deflux for Ureteric Reflux. He has a special interest in Pediatric Urology and Minimal Access Surgery.
