Dr R S Rai

Dr. RS Rai started his medical career in 1984 after passing out MBBS course from prestigious Nalanda Medical College & Hospital, Patna and joined Army Medical Corps (Indian Army). While serving with the Indian Army, he successfully completed his post graduation (MS) in Surgery from Delhi University (Army Hospital, R & R) and super – specialization (M Ch) in Urology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. While working with the army, he was posted mainly to Command Hospitals ( tertiary care centers with bed capacity around 1000 beds) as Urologist and had the privilege to work with state of art infrastructure and equipment. He took further training in urodynamics, laparoscopy, RIRS and use of the laser (KTP/Holmium) in urology and also attended various workshop and CMEs to update himself on these newer procedures. For providing exemplary service, high-quality work with utmost devotion & dedication, Dr. Rai was awarded the prestigious Chief of Army Staff Commendation Medal in 2007. Dr. Rai left the Indian Army in 2007 on the extreme compassionate ground after 23 years of meritorious service and has been practicing urology here at Mohali since then.
