Swelling that comes and goes, occasional bleeding, and bad smell from the mouth are all signs that something underlying is infected or inflamed—this could be due to gum infection, food impaction, deep cavity, or a possible issue with the wisdom tooth. However, it is not possible or safe to give a definite diagnosis or prescribe medicines without examining the tooth and taking your medical history. These symptoms usually do not resolve permanently with medication alone. They require proper clinical treatment such as cleaning, drainage of infection, correction of gum pocket, or treating the affected tooth. What you should do now Please visit a dentist for a full check-up as soon as possible. After examining the tooth, I’ll be able to tell you exactly what treatment you need. If needed, appropriate medication will be given only after proper diagnosis, to ensure safety and correct treatment. Delaying evaluation may allow the infection to progress, so kindly schedule an appointment soon.
