Hello, Thank you for sharing this very personal and emotional concern. I’m truly sorry for the loss of your baby—losing a child is a deep pain, and it’s completely natural to still carry hope and questions about the future. At 45 years of age for your wife and 47 for you, pregnancy is biologically possible but medically challenging, mainly due to age-related changes. After a long gap of 8 years, especially following a previous pregnancy loss, careful evaluation is very important. Can pregnancy occur naturally at this age? Yes, natural pregnancy can occur, but the chances are reduced because ovarian reserve (egg quality and quantity) decreases significantly after 40. There is also a higher risk of miscarriage, chromosomal abnormalities, and pregnancy-related complications, which is why proper medical guidance is essential. What should be done first? Before considering any treatment (Ayurveda, homeopathy, or otherwise), a basic fertility evaluation is strongly recommended: For your wife: AMH, ultrasound (ovarian reserve), thyroid, sugar, BP For you: semen analysis Overall health assessment for both partners About Ayurveda / holistic treatments: Ayurveda and homeopathy do not work like quick fertility boosters, but they aim to: Improve overall hormonal balance Support uterine and ovarian health Improve general vitality and emotional well-being Reduce stress and grief-related hormonal suppression These systems can be supportive, especially when combined with medical evaluation, but it’s important to have realistic expectations and individualized care. No ethical doctor can promise pregnancy at this age, but supporting the body’s natural capacity is possible in some cases. A gentle and honest note: Your situation deserves sensitivity, not pressure. Whether or not pregnancy happens, your wife’s health—physical and emotional—must be the first priority. I would strongly suggest a personal consultation so your wife’s health, menstrual history, and past pregnancy details can be understood properly, and you can be guided honestly about available options. You’re asking the right questions, and support is available.
