Dr. Indira Pal
DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopathy
Similia Similibus Curantur – signifies that medication able to produce symptoms in a healthy person will also remove similar symptoms occurring as an expression of disease. This simple principle of medication has intrigued Dr. Indira Pal since child hood as she belongs to a family where homeopathy is being mostly advocated and practiced for the last three generations. It was the inspiration from the practicing relatives and her mother that she decided to train herself for the practice of Homeopathy. It was a great vision of her mother, who once said “Treat the person to live healthy and not complicate living” which supported her to train herself as a Homoeopath and not modern medicine. She also holds a B.Sc. degree from Calcutta University. She has the privileged to study at Pratap Chandra Memorial Homeopathic Hospital & College (PCMHHC), Kolkata, which is the second oldest Homeopathic Institution in India as well as Asia and affiliated to Calcutta University and West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The college and is recognized by the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH) and AYUSH under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and Govt. of West Bengal. She obtained her DHMS qualification in 1999. The Course duration is of four years including compulsory internship of six months after passing the final examination and is a recognized qualification for practicing homeopathy. Though she could upgrade her qualification by opting for a bridge or link short term course for two years, she preferred to indulge in practice and did not regret her decision as the experience gained and number of cases dealt during this period gave her profound experience in this system of medicine. Dr. Indira Pal has been practicing independently since graduating and for the last 20 years. She has experienced during these years that people believe that homeopathy is only for treating chronic diseases and result of treatment is slow. Hence the greatest challenge for her was to provide fast relief in acute cases, comparable to the modern system of medicine, to change the orthodox mind set and she can confidently claim success. Today she is equally adept in dealing with both acute and chronic ailments. Dr Pal strictly believes in the three well-defined fundamental principles of the Homeopathy’s founder, Samuel Hahnemann - (1) The Law of Similars / Similia Similibus Curentur (“Like Cures Like”) (2) The Minimum Dose and (3) The Totality of Symptoms - treatment is tailored to each individual patient, according to their complete symptom picture. Classical homeopathy is the essence of her treatment and prefers to use one constitutional remedy. She is very comfortable and confident in prescribing centesimal, decimal and 50 millesimal potencies for her patients. For the practice of Homeopathy Dr. Indira Pal has established "Homeopathic Clinic” at New Delhi. Besides, alleviating the sufferings of the people, it also indulge in charitable consultation of the poor, needy and deserving people of the society.
