Dr. Pawan Mehta is a highly regarded physician uro-surgeon who specializes in the treatment of patients with complex urological conditions like complex kidney stones, prostate, cancers, sexual disorders etc. He has an experience of more than 16 years in the field of urology. He earned his medical degree from the well regarded BJMC Medical College, Ahmedabad in 1996 and then pursued his Masters in General Surgery in 1999 from the same institute. After he joined briefly at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute Delhi as a clinical specialist, he went back to Ahmedabad, Civil Hospital, the largest teaching institute in Asia, to earn his M.Ch. Degree in Genitourinary surgery in 2001. There he completed his advanced training in minimally invasive urologic procedures like laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Oncological and other reconstructive procedures in 2004. After spending a year in Mata Chanan Devi Hospital Delhi as an Asso. Consultant, he joined Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, Paschim Vihar in 2006 as a consultant where he has been working and heading the department since then. Later he also joined BLK Super Speciality Hospital, Pusa Road as a Hon. Consultant in 2011 and working since then.
He has a special interest and vast experience in endo-urology with innumerable procedures like PCNLs, TURP, URS etc to his credit. He has a spectacular academic record by earning gold medals in MS General Surgery as well as In MCh Genitourinary Surgery. Apart from endourology he is well versed in open, laparoscopic and laser approaches the surgical management of various urological conditions. He also has the honor of removing the world's heaviest stone from a kidney weighing 700 gm, previously the heaviest stone recorded in Guinness Book of World Records was weighing 620 gm removed in Pakistan.
He sees and operates patients in his urology center Hok Urocare Paschim Vihar as well as in the major hospitals like BLK Super Speciality and Sri Balaji Action hospital and also at other accredited surgical centers.
