Major (Dr) Guru Prakash K V, an ex-serviceman, did his medical graduation from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences at Sri Siddhartha Medical College. Co- Author of “Sapta Vaidyara Churumuri” – A book in regional language “Kannada” aimed at sharing experiences and educating common man regarding mental and other illness. Currently an esteemed member of “Combat Depression – Task Force” – Co Cordinator in preparing a hand book of “Self Help Guide for Military & Paramilitary/Police”. In addition has rendered awareness talks at various institutes. Also is Academic training incharge at Spandana Hospitals where many nursing and psychology interns have been undergoing training in Psychiatry.
