Dr. Hitesh Kubadia is an accomplished Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon. He has trained extensively and holds multiple fellowships. Dr. Hitesh Kubadia is a practicing Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon in Mumbai with his special interest being Total Knee Replacements by Minimally Invasive Technique. He graduated (MBBS) from Pune in 1998 and went on to finish his post graduation in Orthopaedics (MS (Orth)) in 2002. He topped the MS (Orth) exam that year. Subsequently he worked at various hospitals in Mumbai gaining experience and also learnt that an Indian Knee is different and has different requirements from its western counterparts. He left for Austria in 2005 for a fellowship under Prof. R. Graf and Prof. S. Hofmann in Joint Replacement Surgery. Here he learnt the art of getting alignments correct, without using Computer Navigation in Total Knee replacements. This was an International Centre for Orthopaedic Education (ICOE) accredited fellowship. On returning he joined Wockhardt Hospital, Mulund, as a Junior Consultant and was soon promoted to a Senior Consultant. In 2008, he was selected to go for a fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, under Prof. J. Krishnan and Dr. M. Penta, to learn the fourth generation Computer Assisted Total Knee Replacements. In the years after his MS, he has received immense training in all aspects of Joint Replacement including Revision (Re-do) Joint Replacement Surgeries, which form the most challenging surgeries in today’s era. Trained in conventional & navigated Knee replacements, which comprise the latest dimensions in Knee Replacements, he has the ability to offer the suitable choice. Also being actively involved in academics, he keeps following the latest trends and advances in his field, so that he can offer the latest and the best available treatment to his patients. He also keeps going abroad on short visits to various internationally acclaimed centers with the view of exchanging ideas and keeping abreast.
