Dr. Rajendra S Gujjalanavar is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Consultant - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sakra World Hospital, Bangalore. After his undergraduate training (MBBS) at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Bangalore, Dr. Rajendra completed his post graduation in general surgery from St. Marthas Hospital Bangalore. He obtained the MCh (Plastic surgery) qualification from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute and obtained DNB (plastic surgery) qualification from national Board of examinations. He did a fellowship in Reconstructive microsurgery from the prestigious Tata memorial hospital Mumbai. Dr. Rajendra obtained an advanced Training in Cosmetic surgery from Allura Medspa and Redefined Clinic, Mumbai. He has been trained in hand and brachial plexus surgery at Ganga hospital Coimbatore under Dr. Rajasabapathi. Dr. Rajendra worked as Consultant at Bangalore Baptist Hospital which is a mission hospital, where he established a dedicated unit for post cancer reconstruction and Microsurgery services. Later worked as consultant plastic surgeon at Sparsh hospital Bangalore. During his training at Bangalore Medical college and research institute, worked at Victoria hospital and Bowring hospital, where Complex reconstruction related to a congenital deformity, trauma injury, and burn injury was undertaken and at Minto eye hospital where he performed occuloplastic surgeries. Then during training and working at Tata Memorial hospital, he has undertaken complex reconstructive microsurgery work related to the skull base, head & neck, breast, other body regions. During his cosmetic training in Mumbai, he was trained under well-known cosmetic surgeons and undertaken all different cases of cosmetic surgery and hair transplantation. Dr. Rajendra maintains a keen academic interest with 10 scientific publications and is a regular speaker at national and international Plastic Surgery conferences.
