Dr. Rashmi Saraf is a Neuroendovascular & Neurointervention Specialist with experience of over 10 years. She is an expert in management of complete spectrum of neuromuscular disorders. She is also well experienced with percutaneous therapeutic procedures like Vertebroplasty, and Sclerotherapy for low flow vascular malformations. Her region of special interest in the management of Intracranial Dural arteriovenous Fistulas with good experience in managing complex cases. She joined KEM Hospital in 2006 and got trained in the field of Interventional Neuroradiology for 3 years at KEM Hospital in Mumbai which is one of the largest referral centre in the country for Endovascular Treatment. After finishing the fellowship, she has continued as Assistant Professor in the same department till date. She has considerable experience in the management of Neurovascular Disorders. The current practice involves endovascular management of Brain Aneurysms, Arteriovenous malformations, Brain Arteriovenous fistulas, Extracranial and intracranial atherosclerotic disease, acute stroke thrombolysis, all spinal vascular interventions, preop tumour embolization, pediatric neurovascular disorders and craniofacial vascular malformations. She is well versed with Percutaneous therapeutic procedures as well like vertebroplasty and sclerotherapy for low flow vascular malformations. She has special interest in Intracranial Dural arteriovenous fistulas and good experience in managing complex cases. She has also done observership in the prestigious Neurointerventional Department of St Luke’s Hospital at Houston with Dr Micheal Mawad. She has tremendous interest in Academics with multiple publications in her name. She had completed her graduation and post graduation from esteemed Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU. She received various distinctions and gold medals during her course. A few to name are Gold Medal for securing highest marks in Biochemistry,Dr. Shamer Singh Memorial Gold Medal for standing first in Anatomy, Shambhu Nath Memorial Gold Medal for securing highest marks in the Radiodiagnosis,Ram Niwas Jindal Gold Medal for securing highest marks in MD/MS examinations in the Institute andBHU Medal by President APJ Kalam for securing highest marks in MD/MS examinations in Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
