Dr. N.V.Kiran Prasad is a Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon with the private practice in Bangalore. After graduating from Sree Siddartha Medical College, Tumkur, Dr. N.V.Kiran Prasad went on to pursue his DNB (Gen Surgery) (Diplomate in National Board) from the Stanley Government College, Chennai Certified by the prestigious National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. It was during his education at Stanley Medical College that brought him into contact with Plastic Surgery and kindled his passion in these fields (Stanley, as it is well known, is a leading institution for Plastic Surgery in India). The possibility of restoring lost functions, enhancing one’s beauty and thereby creating a change for the better, developed a penchant within him for this field. After his DNB (General Surgery), he joined DNB (Plastic Surgery) at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, which gave him a wonderful opportunity to undergo training under some of the best Plastic Surgeons like Prof. Dr. Venkataswami, Dr. K.Sridhar, Dr. Purushothaman, Dr. Shivram, Dr. Antony Arvind and cosmetic surgeon Dr. K.Ramachandran in the country. Later he shifted to Bangalore and gained further plastic surgery experience at St. John’s Hospital, Bangalore for two more years with dedicated Plastic surgical faculty headed by a versatile surgeon & teacher Dr. Vijay Joseph. He attended many National and International conferences & workshops for updating his surgical knowledge. He is an associate member of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI), International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS) and American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) In Bangalore he practices in KS Specialty Clinic and K2 Aesthetic Center in Bannerghatta road and as visiting surgeon in some private Hospitals in Bangalore. He is also a visiting Surgeon in Kauvery Aesthete Hospital and Tamira Aesthetic Center in Chennai. Nowadays, being a private consultant, he shuttles between Bangalore and Chennai on a very busy schedule, but with full verve and tirelessness owing to his sheer fondness for this field which he says is more of an art rather than science.
