Dr. Srikanth was appointed as the Registrar in Surgical Oncology at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in October 1992. After two years, he was recruited as a lecturer in General Surgery at the M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalore. In 1996 September, he was again appointed as the Registrar in General Surgery at the Llandough Hospital, Cardiff in the UK.
