Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is an advanced fertility treatment used to help couples who have difficulty conceiving naturally. It is a specialised form of in vitro fertilization (IVF) in which a single sperm is injected directly into an egg in a laboratory to achieve fertilization. The technique was developed to treat male infertility problems, such as low sperm count, poor sperm movement, or abnormal sperm shape.
