Dr. Ajay Rana, Founder & Director, Institute of Laser and Aesthetic Medicine (ILAMED) is a Dermatologist & Aesthetic Physician & Professor at the University of Greifswald, Germany has worked in Germany at the University Klinikum of Greifswald and in France at the University Hospital of Besançon, with which he remains a Dermatologist Attaché. In these prestigious European set-ups, he worked and developed specific techniques to treat various pathological conditions with an extensive range of Lasers and Light Systems, and cosmetic dermatological procedures. Dr. Rana also is a Head & Lecturar of the International Diploma in Aesthetic Laser Medicine (DALM), Programme of the University of Greifswald, Germany.
A visionary in his own right, passionate about his subject matter: aesthetic medicine, Dr. Rana constantly strives for improving the treatments offered to patients through his research, liaisons with fellow doctors all over the world and international medical institutions. He was one of the physician in India to bring the robotic hair transplantation system Neograft, which offers a painless and downtime free hair transplant treatment. Dr. Rana has been on the expert panel for his talks on Cosmetic Dermatology at various international conferences and meetings. Dr. Rana has also been a part of Cosmetic Dermatology Programmes on TV channels in India and abroad.
Dr. Rana also is a Head & Lecturar of the International Diploma in Aesthetic Laser Medicine (DALM), Programme of the University of Greifswald, Germany. DALM is the only University-based programme in Aesthetic Laser Medicine in the world, and it has international extensions, notably with the University of Birmingham, Alabama (USA) and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Animated by the desire to bring excellence in the practice of aesthetic medicine and lasers in India, Dr.Rana founded in 2009 the Institute of Laser and Aesthetic Medicine (ILAMED). ILAMED has trained many dermatologists, maxillo-facial & plastic surgeons of the country who now have established themselves as leading physicians in the challenging field of Aesthetic Medicine. ILAMED is AICTE approved and Recognised by and Affiliated to the University of Greifswald, Germany (www.uni-greifswald.de). ILAMED faculty is made of a broad international network of physicians.
