Prof Deepak Kumar Bhasin, MD, DM, FAMS, FASGE, AGAF, formerly Head of Department of Gastroenterology at PGIMER, Chandigarh and a renowned clinician and endoscopist with over three decades of experience in the field of gastroenterology ,liver diseases and therapeutic endoscopy. He has been visiting professor at various prestigious international universities in USA and Australia and is on editorial board of reputed international journals like gastrointestinal endoscopy. He is Editor of Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.He has been recipient of various national as well as international awards including prestigious Basanti Devi Amir Chand Award by Indian Council of Medical Research for significant contributions in Biomedical research. He has been an invited speaker at various national as well as international conferences, delivered many orations and his research work has been cited in the text books of gastroenterology.He has been President of Indian Society of Gastroenterology and President Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India. He has been awarded fellowships of American Gastroenterology Association (AGAF), American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE) and Fellowship of National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS).
