Some of his publications include ‘Examination Blues’ in the British Medical Journal, ‘Specializing for Whom? Correspondence’ in the National Medical Journal of India, ‘Funny Rib: Maleria Indomedica’ in the British Med Journal, and many more. He has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award by Geriatric Society of India, Sir Dorabjee Tata Award for Biochemistry, Institute Book Prize for Pharmacology, and the Best Paper Presentation at the Annual Conference, Indian Society of Nephrology, Vishakapatnam. Dr. Sanjiv was the editor of the Renal Section in "A Guide to Elderly Care" in 2009. He possesses memberships of various prestigious associations, which include the Indian Society of Nephrology, National Academy of Medical Sciences, Association of Physicians of India, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Health of Madhya Pradesh, and Ethics & Research of the Chronic Care Foundation.
