He is successfully practicing in Navi Mumbai since 2000 in different hospitals i.e. Fortis hospital, MGM hospital, Vashi, Swaraj Vinamra Hospital, Vashi, MITR Hospital, Kharghar, etc. After finishing his schooling from Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission, one of the schools of West Bengal, he completed his MBBS in 1995 from R. G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata which is one of the oldest medical colleges in India.After taking a primary training in Anesthesia he was working with his father, Dr. Prabhat Kumar Mallick, a well known Gynecologist in Burdwan (WB). His caring and dedicated nature of all types of acute pain i.e. trauma pain, post-operative pain, painless delivery, helped him to develop interest in chronic pain management, where millions of people are suffering with different types of chronic pain i.e. back pain, neuropathic pain, cancer pain, post-herpetic neuralgia, headache etc. Today he is the only dependable doctor in this field in Navi Mumbai. Pain Management is an upcoming specialty of Medicine, recognized as 34th specialty of medicine in USA. There are lots of advancements in this branch of Medicine are seen and new modalities of pain management have evolved along with many conventional methods. Interventional pain management is a discipline of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of pain-related disorders through minimally invasive techniques to help the patients return to their everyday activities quickly and without heavy reliance on medications. Interventional pain management has recently emerged as a rapidly developing specialty in our country, though it has shown its presence in the western world for over 30yrs. He has taken training on Interventional Pain Management in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Lucknow, Ahmadabad, Thailand, Hungary under the guidance of eminent Pain Specialists of India, Australia, UK & USA and completed Pain fellowship under Indian Society of Study of Pain (ISSP) which is a part of International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). He also had done Post-graduate Diploma on Pain Management in 2006 from Hyderabad under the eminent Pain Physician, Dr Murlidhar Joshi. He has given several paper presentations and guest lecturers in different national conferences all over India. Besides his regular busy schedules, he is very much interested in social awareness in Pain management. He is running lot of training programs for doctors and paramedical in different hospitals to increase patient care. He is a life member of Indian Society of Anesthesiologist, Association of Obstetric Anesthesiologist of India, and Indian Society for Study of Pain & World Institute of Pain, USA. Moreover, she has been nominated a member of Medical Committee of ABC (Asian Basketball Confederation) and Committee for Women of IOA (Indian Olympic Association). Dr. Das has attended different courses in sports medicine in UK and Russia, FIFA Football Medicine Course and also an Indo-German Collaboration course in sports rehabilitation. She has been a Ph.D. guide of Jadavpur University as well as a visiting lecturer, course coordinator, examiner and paper setter of different universities such as Rabindra Bharati University - Kolkata, Guru Nanak Deb University - Amritsar, Jehangir Nagar University - Bangladesh etc. She has multiple publications in national and international scientific journals to her credit and she has authored a book titled ‘Text Book of Sports Medicine’ published by JP Publications, New Delhi. Dr. Das has attended numerous scientific seminars and workshops in India and abroad. Furthermore, she has been a member of the editorial boards of Bangladesh Journal of Sports Sciences and Kriralok.
