He earned his MD Internal Medicne at the prestigious PGI Chandigarh and completed his DM Gastroenterology at premier institute SGPGI Lucknow. He did fellowship in Advanced liver diseases and liver Transplantation from Mount Sinai, New York, later had Advanced Endoscopy fellowship from World Gastroenterology Organization, Lapaz South America.
